More than a vintage supper club with a neon sign…
a dining family tradition for generations
Our Story | The Restaurateurs
Where It All Began
In 1961, Petey’s ambition led him to open a quaint, little restaurant with a supper club feel in Oak Lawn, Illinois in pursuit of the American dream. A bungalow house on the corner of 95th Street and Kostner Avenue was converted into a steakhouse and seafood restaurant and Petey’s Bungalow Lounge opened its doors to the public serving patrons in the Oak Lawn, IL area and the surrounding Chicago Southland communities. Through the years, the owners Petey and Mary were driven to build their business and make this supper club restaurant a success. To this day, you will find Petey greeting guests, long-time friends, and new acquaintances. Stop in for dinner, and a meet and greet with Petey.
Down the road in 1969, Petey and Mary were inspired to open Petey’s II, their second restaurant location in the heart of Orland Park surrounded by farmland at the time. One of the first steakhouse and seafood restaurants in the Orland Park area, Petey’s II Restaurant is open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch, dinner and also for private dining events including group luncheons, meetings, and small banquets up to 80 guests.
“We sincerely appreciate your business and wonderful memories shared through the years. We cherish the
lifelong friendships we built with you over the years.
For over 55 years, we’ve proudly served you, the
residents of our surrounding Chicago Southland communities, and out of town visitors.”
